International Days of the World

At Cuddly Bear, we consider ourselves a “Cultural Capital,” where children are encouraged to explore the diverse world around them and extend their knowledge about new experiences in life. We incorporate International Days of the World into our weekly activities, providing children with the opportunity to learn about different countries, languages, animals, cultures, professions, and ways of life. Some examples include “Teachers’ Day,” “World Theatre Day,” “World Frog Day,” “Universal Music Day,” and “Arabic Language Day.” These special days offer children a broader perspective of the world and its richness.

Birthdays

We ensure every birthday at Cuddly Bear is a memorable occasion. Our chefs create stunning birthday ‘cakes’ made entirely of fruit (provided by the parent or carer). After Lunch time, the children come together to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ and enjoy their special fruit cake. It’s our way of showing each child that they are valued, loved, and important to us all on their special day in a healthy way.

Celebrating Cultures

At Cuddly Bear, we create a play-based, inclusive, and creative learning environment that reflects the vibrant diversity of the children and families in our care. We celebrate and honour the many cultures, languages, and heritages within our community, ensuring that our curriculum is enriched by this diversity. We celebrate a variety of cultural festivals, including Black History Month, Christmas, Diwali, Lunar New Year, and Easter based on the children we have in each room. We welcome family involvement and are always grateful when children and families share their traditions and celebrations with us. We want every child and family to feel like part of the Cuddly Bear family, so please let us know if there are any special days or events you would like us to include.
